Teesside Trailblazers

MFC Trailblazers help us spread the anti-racism message

Academy coaches from Middlesbrough Football Club came to our school to share with us
their Teesside Trailblazers campaign, which aims to champion racial justice in
schools across the area.
The project is a celebration of the rich diversity of players in British football, past,
present and future.
We heard from young academy players who shared their own experiences of
recognising and tackling racism as a team, inspiring St Bede’s pupils to follow in their
footsteps.
The coaches challenged us to create our own anti-racism posters in class and work
together to create a whole-school Anti-Racism Charter.
