SERVE
Catholic Social Teaching

at St Bede’s Primary School

As a Catholic School it is our duty to assist the church in its mission of making Christ known and His love shared with all people.

We are called to serve: to be at the service of the local church – the diocese, the parish and the Christian home. To be ‘a service to society’

The church’s principles of Catholic Social Teaching are central to our life in school, in all we think, say and do: they ensure that we live our faith and help us to make a positive difference in the world around us.

We link the Catholic Social Teaching principles with our school’s ‘Golden Rules’ that are rooted in the Golden Rule of our Faith: “Love one Another”.
We have a house system in school where every child is affiliated to. There are four houses: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each ‘House’ champions one of our Golden Rules and Principles.
